Hingga 28,000 di M’sia mungkin mati akibat H1N1

Dianggarkan 5,500 hingga 28,000 rakyat Malaysia akan mati dalam wabak selesema A (H1N1) jika 20 peratus daripada 27.7 juta penduduk negara ini dijangkiti virus tersebut.

“Daripada angka ini (5.5 juta orang dijangkiti), jika kita anggarkan kadar kematian antara 0.1 hingga 0.5 peratus, kira-kira 5,500 hingga 28,000 penghidap selesema itu akan meninggal dunia,” kata presiden Persatuan Perubatan Malaysia (MMA).

Dr David KL Quek memetik unjuran yang dibuat pengarah penyakit berjangkit Pertubuhan Kesihatan Sedunia (WHO) Dr Tee Ah Sian dalam satu mesyuarat pasukan kebangsaan petugas khas menangani wabak itu, pada awal minggu ini.

Dalam perkembangan terkini, kadar kematian di seluruh dunia meningkat daripada 0.4 kepada 0.66 peratus.

Dr Quek mendedahkan maklumat itu dalam artikelnya “Flu measures: Confusion rather than non-compliance” yang diedarkan kepada beberapa media semalam. [Baca artikel penuh]

Beliau juga menekankan kerjasama erat antara Kementerian Kesihatan, hospital, doktor di pusat kesihatan swasta dan orang ramai agar wabak ini dapat dikekang secara lebih berkesan.

Dr Quek juga menegaskan kepada semua pihak, termasuk media, agar tidak menuding jari kepada pengamal perubatan swasta atau beberapa pihak lain atas beberapa perkembangan terkini wabak itu.

Menurutnya lagi, wabak itu dijangka sekurang-kurangnya berlarutan antara satu hingga dua tahun sebelum reda – sama ada virusnya berubah dalam bentuk lebih lemah atau vaksin telah ditemui untuk membasminya.

Setakat ini, vaksin belum ditemui dan dijangka akan diperolehi hujung tahun ini.

Dalam perkembangan berkaitan, Menteri Kesihatan Datuk Seri Liow Tiong Lai berkata 10 peratus simpanan stok ubatan anti-virus ‘Tamiflu’ dan ‘Relenza’ buat masa ini tidak cukup memandangkan penularan ketara penyakit berjangkit itu.

Kerajaan akan memesan lagi bekalan ubat itu daripada WHO
bagi memastikan negara mempunyai bekalan ubat itu pada setiap masa bagi membendung wabak influenza A(H1N1), lapor Bernama.

“Melihat kepada trend penularan wabak itu yang semakin meningkat, kita perlu memesan ubat itu daripada WHO,” beliau dipetik berkata selepas menghadiri Konvensyen MCA Pulau Pinang hari ini.

Tambahnya, kementerian turut menempah 200,000 dos vaksin influenza A (H1N1) dan dijangka mendapat bekalan itu menjelang akhir tahun ini.

Katanya tempahan tersebut terpaksa dilakukan awal kerana prosedur
menguji ubat itu mengambil masa sebelum dapat diberikan kepada pesakit.

Sementara itu, lapor agensi berita itu lagi, Ketua Pengarah Kesihatan Tan Sri Dr Mohd Ismail Merican berkata 19 kes baru H1N1 dilaporkan hari ini dan kesemuanya melibatkan rakyat Malaysia.

Jumlah terkumpul 1,390 kes, termasuk 816 kes atau 59 peratus melibatkan jangkitan tempatan.

“Daripada keseluruhan, 1,362 kes (98 peratus) telah sembuh, hanya 17 kes atau satu peratus sahaja sedang menerima rawatan antivirus di hospital.

“Lapan daripadanya berada di unit rawatan rapi (ICU), manakala 11 orang sedang menerima rawatan antiviral di rumah,” katanya.

Mapsource version 6.15.6 (Modified)

Someone in MFM just made the latest Mapsource version 6.15.6 which able to send map into your harddisk drive, like C drive. For example: when you select the map tiles, and send to device, select c:\

and after compeleted sent ,you will get gmapsupp.img file at your local harddisk c:\Garmin\

If you want the above feature, just download the “mapsource.exe” at below link,
then copy it and paste to C:\Garmin\
replace the existing mapsource.exe.

Remember; you must install latest version of mapsource 6.15.6 first.
cannot paste my mapsource.exe file into old version of mapsource.
